App deludente. Ho testato il pianno e il suono arriva in ritardo
as my mac continues to demand it be feed the lastest greatest wiz bang upgrades to combate obselance and OS malfunction ive sacrifice daws (Pro Tools 9 / 10} and fallen into garge band which more resently has started rejecting everything; direct usb from Xbox original worked some what but sounded bad, lM-Track plus had like a 2 second latency, Mbox Mini decided it was a brick. sorry about that alot of whinning, oh cant update. Pod efx either. Thank God and you guys for putting this gem together MiDI Guitar 2. I bought the upgrade and havent thrown things all day, no broken necks, holes in walls {Im 61 and shouldnt be doing that} I'm happy like a pig in .. and content as heck because this little app works better than it should {theres a change} and has all kinds of bells and whistles, it's great, intrerface working no problems. if your haveing obsolecense issues on all your paid good money for stuff..... Try the free version, check your balance as it down loads i'm pretty sure you'll buy the upgrade. You wont regret it, best return for investment ive had for awhile. thanks Midi Guitar guys, Rock on! I bought this a while ago; I only tried using it now in Catalina and GarageBand does not recognize the Midi from the app. I did activate the Midi Output plug-in! Extremely disappointed!
I purchased the app and at first it worked great. I installed it on my iMac and Macbook pro. After the updates the version on my Macbook pro is no longer working. When I try to re-install the app from the app store, it promts me to purchase it (again!!!) so I clicked on purchase the only message is $39.99 and "YOU GOT IT". I have no idea what the heck that means, but the app remains useless on my macbook pro.
I Everytime there is an update I have to reauthorize the app again and again. That reauthorization is both combersome and tedious and of late doesn’t work at all. I would hate to have to switch apps as this was orginally a great find.
Easy review …used to work
tracking very bad unusable i i have verstin 2.1.0 installed on imac 3.3 intel core i5 os mojove10.14.3
I am using Garage Band. I have used the trial to see how it works. I had one problem with the test drive. I get all the effects while playing but, it does not save the recording with the effects in Midi Guitar 2. I am apprehensive about purchasing until I know for sure it works on my mac. IS RECORDING DISABLED ONLY ON THE TEST DRIVE? Please let me know so I can buy it with confidence.
As someone who has lived thru a couple of decades real time pitch MIDI converters, this really pretty phenomenal piece of software!
Had the first version and thought it was incredible, upgraded to new version and had a problem , emailed Ole Kristensen at Jamorigin and he promptly sent back an email walking me through the fix—up and running again with many improvements!!! Will definitly buy the full version (Wife even said she would get it for me LOL she supports my habit). Thanks Jamorigin for the great product!!
Was working fine until latest update.
Eleventeen stars 👍👍
I am a professional musician that has been playing the guitar and bass for over 35 years and have tried many of the main midi guitar converters out there. I have had the Roland, the Axon AX-100, the Sonuus and have found the MIDI Guitar to be the best. When recording, it has very few glitch or ghost notes and tracks very well. I have since sold my AX-100, which was one of the best when I purchased it. I would highly recommend this product. Great customer support also.
Works very well for me with Logic Pro X.
Once I started using Midi Guitar for Garage Band on my Mac , I put my hardware guitar synth in the closet . Thats where it has stayed ever since . Midi Guitar happens to be extremely versatile on how you can configure it to your playing style and to the guitar that you will be using . The sensitivity can be set to accommodate various makes and models of guitars . I personaly have used various Tele's , Strats , Les Pauls and Les Paul types , Semi Hollow 335 type guitars and full body hollow bodied guitars with surprisingly good results . This became possible once I set the sensitivity and had the waveform dialed in to the accomodate the guitar that I was gonna be using .Once set to the guitars sweet spot , Midi Guitar tracked very evenly on all six guitar strings . I like the built in Guitar tuner, Also I have found the Polyphonic tuner that shows the notes of the chord being played to be very useful for precise tuning . As a guitar player have you ever asked yourself this question ? Why should keyboard players have all the cool sounding synths and get to have all the fun ? I have asked myself that question and I honestly thing that Midi Guitar for Garage Band is a giant leap forward for guitar players of all abilitys . Just so we are clear I'm not a paid endorser and I don't work for the company …I have been using this app for a while and I have found some very creative things that you can do with this . Did you know that you can use Midi Guitar to help you transcribe the guitar playing of a solo guitar player … I took a Joe Pass song and slowed it down just a little bit , then I ran that into a little mixer into Midi Guitar and played the recording of the tune …I had Midi Guitar set up to play a synth in Garage Band and the cool thing was Midi Guitar grabed most of the playing on the tune . Now it wasnt 100% perfect , but it more than 60 to 70 % …some of the polyphonic chords were happeing a little to fast for Midi Guitar .I was then able to open up staff View in GB and read along …Then I opened up the GB tune in Logic and I was able to save it as a Midi File after I did some edits …pretty cool huh? Other ways Midi Guitar has helped me to become a better guitar player are simple things like practicing my guitar using Midi Guitar while playing to the synth patch … I like to do that in MainStage because some synth patches are percussive , some swell , some evolve over time …all cool stuff for guitar players of all abilitys to work on …. AS far as how I use Midi Guitar the most , it is pretty simple in my case . I use Midi Guitar to trigger all my synths VIA my guitar and playing in the music productions and tunes I may be working on . Midi Guitar tracks so well , most of the time all my performances are done in real time …my keyboard chops are pretty low , so Midi Guitar has been a great app for me. Anyway , it has been nice rapping with you guys , I know I left a long review , but if you happen to want to hear how I have used Midi Guitar on some home produced recordings feel free to goggle Guitarist Kenny Wilson . My soundcloud page has a bunch of music that was done w Midi Guitar …I don;t play keys at all so if you hear a synth …it was done with Mid Guitar all the best , Kenny
I immedately got this as well as the VST version. Roland GK3/GR55 for sale. This app is more musical and does not suffer from the glitches of the Roalnd hardware at a tiny fraction of the price. Thanks for this. Looking forward to follow developments.
Version 1.0.3 still crashes when scanning for plugins. According to the developer's website, this was supposed to have been fixed with this version.
Very disappointed with tracking, like ma boy said The Fishman Triple Play gat Ya!
For casual users, this does pretty well, and seems to be better than most of the older Roland hex systems, and obviously far cheaper. However, if you’re serious about guitar MIDI and its use with a Mac, the Fishman Triple Play, while obviously more expensive, still tracks far better and is faster.
